As I plan my stamp of the month projects, I try to find multiple ways to use the stamp set. After all, we all like to get as much use out of a stamp that we can. This week, I decided to try to create a scrapbook page with our A Little Bit of Pun stamp set, and ended up with this adorable Cute as a Button layout.
Paper Needed: 12″ x 12″ B&T Paper (Whimsy Fundamentals), (4) 6″ x 1½” B&T Paper (Whimsy Fundamentals) 6½” x 4½” Thistle Cardstock, 6¼” x 4¼” Canary Cardstock, 1½” x 12″ B&T Paper (Whimsy Fundamentals) 2½” x 9″ White Daisy Cardstock, 2¾” x 9¼” Thistle Cardstock
Techniques Used:
• I used Black Memento Ink to randomly stamp the images onto the White Daisy Cardstock. Instead of masking the sentiment, I (gasp) cut my stamp. I can still use it as a complete image later on a block or use it as two separate images.
• The buttons were shaded Watercolor Pencils. I used a Small Round Waterbrush to make the images look more like they were painted.
• The “Button” in the upper right corner was stamped onto Thistle Fundamental paper, then cut out. I punched holes with a small hole punch, added White Twine, and created a bow.
• The title was created in Cricut® Design Space using the Artbooking and You Are Here fonts. When a create a title, I always keep the negative piece of cardstock and use it as template for laying out my letters.
This layout was simple to make, and I truly love how it turned out. Remember, the A Little Bit of Pun acrylic stamp set is only available until December 31st!
