12 Days of Christmas Creations ~ Soft Candlelit Silhouette

Today, we continue with my 12 Days of Christmas Creations and find ourselves once again playing with the Cricut® to create this Candlelit Snow Scene. I honestly enjoyed this project because it was simple to create and the results are breathtaking. I wish the photos could show you how lovely it looks in a dark room, all lit up by the electric candle.

Once again, I used our Season of Joy Cricut® Collection to make a Snow Scene to fit inside my glass vase. I used the Silent Night image and welded a few of the layers together. Due to the size of my vase, the scene needed to be 15″ long. Since I don’t currently own a 24″ mat, I had to “cut” my Snow Scene into two separate images and glue them together to create a scene long enough to wrap inside.

Once the Snow Scene was complete, I inserted it into the vase. The Gold Insert behind it is a sheet of All About the Gold Fundamentals (currently on clearance) that I trimmed to the correct height. I chose to use the large Polka-Dot pattern because those gold dots hid my Glue Dots well, but you could use any of the patterns from this pack and attach the ends with clear cello tape. (don’t forget to pull off the protective film)

I am all about keeping projects simple, so I chose to wrap some White & Gold Skinny Ribbon around the top of the vase a few times, and embellish with a Paper Snowflake and Fabric Covered Button.

Project complete! You could change this design by choosing a different paper to cut your Snow Scene, using Vellum instead of Gold Fundamentals, or even creating paper greenery for the outside.

I hope that you enjoyed Day Three of our 12 Days of Christmas Creations adventure and that you return tomorrow for more crafty fun. I can’t wait to see what you create!

Merry Christmas Blessings Blog Hop

Welcome to the Merry Christmas Blessings Blog Hop where we will be 46091035_10156054673202686_4718674864951525376_nfeaturing a multitude of Close to My Heart Christmas products.  🎄  If you have come here from Gina Brandstetter’s blog, you are on the right path! When you are finished reading my post, you can click on the link at the end to move to the next blog. This blog hop is simple, fun, and full of ideas that you can use when creating for Christmas.  If you get lost along the way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants on Melinda’s Blog.

When I first saw the Christmas Blessings Stamp Set, I knew immediately that I wanted to created a card with an inked background.  Even though Inked Backgrounds are simple to create, they make a beautiful impact on on project. Along with the Inked Background, I decided to try my hand at an Eclipse Card. What do you think?

Eclipse Cards are making a comeback and can be found all over Pinterest right now. Most people use Letter Dies or Thin Cuts to create their’s, but, being the Cricut™ addict that I am, I chose to make my background in Design Space™.

Once I was finished creating the background, I stamped the images and the card was complete. It was so simple to make that I decided to create a short “How To” video for my Create with Miss. Carrie’s Creations VIP Facebook Group and in this video I gave a few more ideas for some Inked Background cards using this stamp set.

Now ‘Hop” on over to Darlys Recker’s blog to see her work! Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their blogs to get some great crafting tips and other fun ideas. Remember, the Christmas Blessings stamp set is only available, while supplies last, until December 31st! Creating Seasonal Trees Fall Lanterns & Free Design Space File for VIPs

If you have ever visited my home, you will see that I redecorate for every season. In my basement you will find a plethora of holiday decorations, and as a crafter, I inevitably add more each year. If you are a seasonal decorator like me, you will enjoy making this Fall Lantern!  This month, I am giving away the Cricut Design Space™ file FREE to any customer who joins my VIP Facebook Group. Instructions for getting this file can be found at the very bottom of this post. (Sorry, this is offer is not available to any consultants that are not on my team.)

My Fall Lantern design is a simple box I made in Cricut Design Space™ using a leaf image from our Artistry Cricut™ Collection. This Cricut™ collection can be ordered directly through my website or purchased for HALF-PRICE when you host a qualifying party.  You will need to own the collection to cut out my Fall Lantern.

Once you have opened the images in Design Space™ you can cut the lantern from our beautiful Fall Grateful Heart collection of papers and Vellum.  I chose to use the Pomegranate pattern paper because I like how the Yellow Plaid pattern on the back shows through on the leaves. It reminds me of the when the various shades of leaves blow on the trees out my craft room window. This nostalgic moment brought to you by the Heart2Heart Inspired By Nature challenge, which I joined this week.

You have a variety of patterns to choose from in this paper pack. I think it would look just as beautiful cut from the Fern Dots, the Floral, or the Blue Checked patterns.  I kept my design simple by adding just a small strip of paper and some Gold & White Skinny  Ribbon at the base of the lantern. If you would like a more embellished Fall Lantern, you could add to the design using Complements, Cork Shapes, or Fern Stitched Ribbon.

After the Vellum was cut, I stamped images from the Seasonal Trees stamp of the month onto each window and used Clear Embossing Powder to set the ink. Be cautious when heating your vellum because it can cause the paper to warp if too much heat is applied.

When you order your supplies for this Fall Lantern through my website, make sure to join the MYSTERY HOSTESS party. This online party is open through November 15th, currently has $30 in rewards, and is close to getting one item 50% off (you could get that Cricut™ collection you wanted). Don’t forget to order the Seasonal Trees stamp of the month which is only available through November 30th.

I am sure you are wondering HOW to get this Fall Lantern file. All you need to do is ask to join my Create with Miss. Carrie’s Creations VIP Group. Once I have received your request, I will send you a private message with a link to the Fall Lantern file.  I do ask that you do not share this file with others, post it online, resell it, or post it as your own creative work.  This offer is for Customers ONLY and my HeARTfully Blessed Creations Team members. (Sorry, it is not available to other consultants.)

Have a wonderful week, my friends. I can’t wait to see what you create!

If you would like to learn more about getting $75 in product credit when you joining our HeARTfully Blessed Creations team as a consultant, receiving this file free as a HBC team member, or receiving free training that I offer to my HeARTfully Blessed Creations Team, you can leave a comment below and I will happily answer all of you questions.

Keep in mind you can always adjust the scrapbook titles or card sentiments to fit many occasions. With the True North workshop kit, you can make two 12″ x 12″ layouts, one 12″ x 12″ single page, and four cards using the True North stamp set.

The True North workshop includes project pieces cut using the Cricut® You Are Here collection. The shapes and sizes are noted in the workshop instructions, and the necessary Cricut® shapes to complete this workshop are also available as a project file in Cricut Design Space™, True North Workshop.

To cut this project file, you must own the Cricut® You Are Here collection. There are a few other additional supplies needed which can be viewed on my website.

Seasonal Trees Blog Hop

Welcome to the Seasonal Trees Stamp of the Month Blog Hop where we will be featuring the November Seasonal Trees stamp41842558_10155931687592686_1154225456677912576_n set.   If you have come here from Haley Dyer’s blog, you are on the right path! When you are finished reading my post, you can click on the link at the end to move to the next blog. This blog hop is simple, fun, and full of ideas using the Seasonal Trees stamp set. If you get lost along the way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants on Melinda’s Blog.

In my state, the weather changes constantly.  We can have a foot of snow at 7am, sunshine by noon, and a thunderstorm by dinnertime. We don’t have true seasons here, like most of the nation, just a ever guessing meteorologist who hopes she got it right today.  I am happy to report, that even in a state of ever changing seasons, our Seasonal Tree stamp set will be put to good use. Each tree trunk, leaf, pine needle, palm frond, and icon can be used for any season in your neck of the woods.

This week, I am starting to use up some of our Grateful Heart products and decided to create some Thank You cards for a few wonderful customers.  That simple “Thank You” tag comes from the PML cut-apart page and it works perfectly for creating cards like this one.

I decided to keep the card pretty simple. I wanted that delightful fall tree to be noticed on the card. If you look closely, it looks like there are three shades of leaves of the tree. I achieved this look by first adding the leaves with a second-generation stamping of Goldrush, then a stamping of Saffron, followed by a second-generation stamping of Saffron again; rotating the leaf stamp each time.

I embellished the card with a a few borders created from our Decorative Borders Thin Cuts, added some Gold Sequins, and a single Complement Sticker to complete the card.

Now ‘Hop” on over to Lauren Moore’s blog to see her work! Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their blogs to get some great crating tips and other fun ideas. Remember, the Seasonal Trees stamp set is only available until November 30th! December Kit of the Month Holly Jolly Christmas

I will admit, this posting is a little later than usual for announcing my kit of the month. Honestly, I really struggled creating something for Christmas when Fall had just recently arrived in my backyard. Thank the Lord for a daughter who LOVES Christmas. Yes, our little Miss. Elf herself helped me figure out a few additions for this layout and I am so happy with the results.

Each month, I create a layout for my subscribers.  You can order these kits directly from me, or subscribe to my Kit of the Month club and receive a discount on each monthly kit and additional discounts on any other kits you order each month.

This layout has PLENTY of room for all your Christmas photos.  If you are like me, there are always piles of photos each Christmas to choose from, so I wanted to make sure that this layout had plenty of room to display each one. Have more photos to display? Use our Flip-Flaps on this layout to make room for even more photos.

I have also made sure you have room to record those special memories. This adorable journal box has been decorated with a Poinsettia and Holly and has plenty of space for writing your Christmas story.  Did you notice the sparkle on the Poinsettias? That was added with the help of our NEW Red Shimmer Brush. Doesn’t it just add a little Christmas Sparkle to this layout?

You can order my Holly Jolly Christmas Kit of the Month through my online store or by subscribing to my Kit of the Month Club. Annual subscribers pay only $12.00 per kit. As I stated in my previous postings, I have chosen not to create any guides for my kits until there is more of a demand for them. If you would like to continue purchasing my guides, please leave a comment below so that I know that I need to keep making them.

UPDATE: Due to the amount of requests for this guide – it has been created and is available for purchase in my online store. Thank you to all those who had such kind words and have been kind enough to purchase my guides.

I can’t wait to see what you create!

Holiday Sparkle & Seasons of Joy Blog Hop

Welcome to the Holiday Sparkle & Season’s of Joy Blog Hop where we will be featuring products from both our Holiday Sparkle and Season of Joy collections. 43952017_10155987217317686_8454669368721145856_nYes! Both collections! You are going to be amazed by all the spectacular artwork this week.

I had such a hard time choosing which product to use this week. Partly because both are such incredible products, but mostly because my fall decorations have been sitting in a box in my living room for two weeks and I cannot even contemplate anything that involves Christmas. Yes, ladies, my life in a nutshell. (The squirrels are forever scattered and chased.)

So this week, I chose to avoid Christmas, continue to play with fall papers, and use the delightful Love with All the Trimming stamp set to create this cheerful “Lots of Love” card that I plan on sending out for an upcoming anniversary.

The background for this card is a PML in the Hello Pumpkin paper pack. I took advantage of those little stars and hearts that were already there and strategically placed my other items to cover “Happy Halloween”. The remaining embellishments came from the package of Hello Pumpkin Complements.

Remember how I said I wasn’t ready for Christmas? Well, using a stamp set full of Christmas-y sentiments was a bit of a challenge, but I realized that the “with Lots of Love” sentiment paired with those darling little hearts could be used for any occasion .

That sweet sentiment was placed onto a piece of our NEW Seasonal Mix-Ins and shaded with a Black Shimmer Brush.  I enjoy having this additional paper pack to use on my projects and it blends beautifully with all of our other seasonal papers.

I know that many of you may have expected a Christmas-y card or at least something that said “Happy Holidays”, but my brain cannot even think about tidings, or stockings, or figgy pudding for another month. I hope that you still enjoyed my little paper crafting creations, and continue through the blog hop to see more ideas from a few other Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using products from our Holiday Sparkle and Season of Joy collections.
